    The foremost thought in minds of the founders of Sneha Mandir was to provide a dignified life along with shelter & succour to senior citizens. To achieve this objective certain standard have been laid for the residents of Sneha Mandir. These standards are achieved though following norms

    Sneha Mandir Cottages Admission

    Any person who has completed sixty years of age and certified to be physically and mentally sound by a Physician nominated by Managing Committee is eligible to apply for admission to Sneha Mandir Cottages. The age limit can be relaxed in exceptional cases with the approval of Managing Committee

    Application for admission should be submitted in the prescribed form. The admission will be finalised after interview and completion of mandatory admission formalities. Management reserves the right of admission and the decision of the management shall be final.

    On admission person will have to pay the following amounts: -

    A non-refundable Admission fee of Rs. 10,000/-.

    An interest free deposit amount of Rs. 15,000/- which will be refunded to the member / nominee / legatee / assignee at the time of leaving the institution or expiry after adjusting the dues if any.

    Medical refundable deposit of Rs. 3,000. This needs to be replenished periodically depending upon the cost of medicines provided by Sneha Mandir.

    Monthly fee of Rs. 7,000/- or fees as fixed by the Management from time to time towards expenses for food and other services, should be paid in advance before 7th of every month at Bandora Office.

    All other personal expenses shall be borne by the Resident member.

    Sayantara & Raj Tara – Admission

    Any person who is in a declining state of health due to advanced age is eligible for admission to Sayantara/Raj Tara on the recommendation of panel Doctor. In exceptional cases persons below sixty years are also admitted at the discretion of Managing Committee.

    Application for admission should be submitted in the prescribed form. The admission will be finalised after interview and completion of mandatory admission formalities.

    Management reserves the right of admission and the decision of the management shall be final.

    On admission to Sayantara person shall pay the following amounts:-

    A non-refundable Admission fee of Rs. 10,000/-.

    An interest free deposit amount of Rs. 15,000/- which will be refunded to the member / nominee / legatee/ assignee at the time of leaving the institution or expiry after adjusting the dues, if any.

    Medical refundable deposit of Rs. 5,000. This needs to be replenished periodically depending upon the cost of medicines provided by Sneha Mandir.

    Monthly fee of Rs. 10,000/- as fees or as fixed by the management from time to time towards expenses for food and other services, should be paid in advance before 7th of every month at Bandora office.

    All other personal expenses shall be borne by the Resident member.

    On admission to Raj Tara Aashray person shall pay the following amounts:-

    A non-refundable Admission fee of Rs. 15,000/-.

    An interest free deposit amount of Rs. 25,000/- which will be refunded to the member / nominee / legatee/ assignee at the time of leaving the institution or expiry after adjusting the dues, if any.

    Medical refundable deposit of Rs. 5,000. This needs to be replenished periodically depending upon the cost of medicines provided by Sneha Mandir.

    Monthly fee of Rs. 12,500/- as fees or as fixed by the management from time to time towards expenses for food and other services, should be paid in advance before 7th of every month at Bandora office.

    All other personal expenses shall be borne by the Resident member.

    Above fees are subject to change. Kindly check the latest amounts at the time of application. Application form for admission to Sneha Mandir or Sayantara are available at Bandora office. After duly filling in the details, kindly submit the form at Bandora office.

    Food

    The food consists of morning tea, breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner.

    The cuisine is basically Goan and is of acceptable taste.

    Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is provided. Non vegetarian food consists of fish only and is served twice/thrice a week.

    Sugar free diet is also served to those who need it.

    Medical Facilities – Sneha Mandir Cottages

    A docket containing medical history along with other relevant papers is maintained for each resident.

    Medical officers visit Sneha Mandir periodically on a scheduled day and time.

    Routine Medical attendance and check-up is free.

    In case of emergency serious treatment or hospitalization of a resident, it is the responsibility of the nearby relatives, to take charge of the resident and treat him or her at their cost.

    Medical Facilities – Sayantara & Raj Tara Aashray

    Sayantara & Raj Tara Aashray are geriatric care units providing round the clock nursing care to senior citizens.

    In case of emergency or hospitalization of a resident, it is the responsibility of the relatives of resident to take charge of the resident and treat him or her at their cost.

    Conditions

    Every resident member will have to stay in the premises allotted to him/her which may be changed at the discretion of the Management.

    He/she shall be entitled to use common facilities such as library, community hall, gardens, playgrounds etc.

    It will be the responsibility of the individual member to keep his/her premises neat and tidy.

    The Management will look after the general cleanliness of the campus.

    Atmosphere

    Every resident member will co-operate in creating, fostering and maintaining a healthy, clean, cheerful and congenial atmosphere in the campus.

    Habits and Behaviour

    Use of narcotics, tobacco and alcoholic drinks in the campus is prohibited.

    Misbehaviour causing nuisance to fellow members or creating disharmony in the Campus shall entail termination of membership forthwith.

    Going Out

    A resident member wishing to go out of the campus for a short duration may do so after entering the necessary details in the register kept for the purpose.

    Staying Out

    A resident member may be permitted to stay out for the night with friends and relatives, or to go on a holiday for a person not exceeding 30 days at a time, after making a written request to the Management.

    However, if he/she stays out for more than 30 days, his/she may irrevocably forfeit his/her claim to the accommodation allotted to him/her.

    During the course of such absence, the resident member shall continue to pay the normal monthly charges.

    Visitors

    Friends or relatives of the resident member will be permitted to visit the campus during the day time during scheduled hours only. They shall, however, be required to use visitor's room for meeting the members.

    It shall be within the discretion of the Management to allow a visitor to stay overnight in the campus in case of emergency.

    Such visitors will strictly abide by the rules and regulations of the institution.

    Responsibilities

    It will be the responsibility of every resident member to take care of his/her personal belonging and the Management will be not be responsible for the loss of any such belongings. Efforts will be made by the Management to provide safe keeping of valuables.

    Members will use the Institution's property with care so as to avoid any loss, breakage or damage. In case of such loss damage etc. the articles or their cost will be made good by the member concerned.

    Such visitors will strictly abide by the rules and regulations of the institution.

    Expectations

    Sneha Mandir expects that members who have special aptitudes and talent in any field, such as education, music, fine arts, gardening, etc. will voluntarily offer their services to the Institution.

    Death

    In the event of demise of a resident member, efforts will be made to contact his/her relatives at the address available in the office records.

    In case relative fails to respond and take possession of the body within 24 hours after the demise, the funeral rites will be performed by the Institution.

    No complaints as regards the medical treatment/negligence of any sort and/for disposal of the body will be entertained.

    Rights

    No resident member or his/her nominee/legatee heir shall at any time have any right, title to or interest in the premises allotted to the members by the Institution.

    Notice of Termination

    A resident member wishing to terminate his/her Residency and leave Sneha Mandir shall have to give three clear month’s notice of such intention and the rule (Supra) governing termination shall apply.

    General

    The Goa Hindu Association Sneha Mandir reserves the right to make any additions to, alterations or deletions from the Rules and Regulations from time to time, as the circumstances may demand and such modifications will be binding on all the resident members.
